Our Habitat home means we no longer have to live in mold, mildew, ice forming around the windows from the outside in.
Our home gives us a sense of pride that we on longer have to live in difficult conditions that are unhealthy to our family to our family.
Most importantly our home in a blessing from the Lord above, a dream we never thought we would ever have a chance at owning something that belongs to our family. Thank you Jesus, thank you to Habitat for Humanity and to all of those to help bring this dream to reality.
Several years ago God made a dream come true I thought would never happen, and could not have happened without habitat for Humanity. We were living in house with very little space. There were only two closets, and very few cabinets. The house itself was in poor condition with uneven floors, etc. We had oil heat which made it hard on my daughter who hd asthma at the time.
Then came a miracle. God gave us a house. We now have a home of our own. My children have their own rooms. We have a heat pump. The house means so much to us. Sometimes it still doesn’t seem real. Then I look at our home and know it is real. And it’s all due to people of Habitat for Humanity praying and being obedient to God. I am thankful for this organization and each of you will always have a special place in my heart.
Habitat for Humanity changed my life dramatically. Because of this wonderful experience my daughter who was disabled due to a birth defect was now able to have access to the entire house. The open floor plan, wide doors and a ramp to the back yard gave her so much mobility. Amanda has since passed on but the 18 months she had in this home were the happiest I had ever seen her. The many volunteers and everyone associated with Hbitat for Humanity are truly the real meaning of Christianity I will never be able to thank them enough.
We love our house! We have space to breathe! The praises we get from the yard to the inside make us all feel great that we live in a home we can be proud of. This experience has boosted our confidence levels. People come over to visit now! It has been a real pleasure to help and watch its building from the ground up and we are so grateful to all the volunteers and contributors that made it possible. Thank you Habitat partners. What a difference you’ve made in this family!
